I realize it's Memorial Day. But we're still holding the jam. Feel free to bring your leftover bar-b-que food!!

This Meetup happens EVERY SECOND and FOURTH MONDAY OF THE MONTH

For the next meeting, think about learning some or all of these songs:

Banjo in the Hollow
Cripple Creek
Cluck Old Hen
Worried Man Blues
John Hardy
Wildwood Flower
Will the Circle Be Unbroken
Old Joe Clark
Banjo in the Hollow
This Little Light of Mine
Hot Corn Cold Corn
Cumberland Gap
Goin' down that Road Feeling Bad
Don't this Road Look Rough and Rocky
Litttle Darlin' Pal of Mind
Soldier's Joy
Long Black Veil
Angel Band

If you have other songs that you want to share, make sure they're simple. And it would be icing on the cake if you could photocopy the song with the chords and pass it out to others in the group. We started at 4 people for the first meeting, then went to six for the second meeting and then went to 22 for the fourth meeting. Lots of people have been inquiring about this meetup -- a big happy surprise to me. This is the only public slow jam in NYC!

    •  Another great jam! We continue to get a great variety of tunes and songs. A special thanks to those who come prepared to lead songs (Rob, Ronald, Stephan, Edith, Ira, Ken, Ellen come to mind...and a few whose names I didn't get.) See you next time!
    •  This is a terrific event. Keep on picking, everybody.

My first time there, and I wasn't disappointed. Friendly crowd, and a great place to work on my playing (and singing). I hope to make it a regular event :-) .
    •  Nothing has changed. I enjoyed it a lot.
    •  as usual everyone had a great time.

I'd like to keep the songs simple and do mostly standards, so that we can all play them easily. AND, a big thanks to BILL for taking us through all the chords and chord changes. I know that that's a lot of work and effort !!!!!!!!!!!!! and Sue, too, for organizing it !!!!!!
